THE HISTORY OF BETZ CUT STONE.

Floyd and Elwood Betz were two Toronto stone masons who founded Betz Cut Stone Limited in 1952. They purchased a small property in Agincourt on Sheppard Avenue East off Kennedy Road. Their first truck was a panel truck that carried one ton of stone. By 1954 the fleet had expanded to 3 trucks.

They carried a variety of stones in their small yard and unloaded every order by hand, no fork lift in the early years.

After several years of success in the Agincourt yard, they opened an office on Mavis Road in Mississauga during 1957.

In 1970 Terry Betz joined the company, followed by brothers Greg and Douglas in the 1980's. All were following in their father's (Floyd) footsteps.

Betz Cut Stone Ltd. has enjoyed growth over the years and sells many different types of stones from quarries all over the world.
